Welcome to Free, Cheap, or Just Plain Fun!
We started this blog in response to a conversation about how nice it would be to have a resource list of local inexpensive activities to enjoy with our families. As we talked, we realized that each of us knew of fun activities that the other did not. We thought, "wouldn't it be great to have a way to allow others to add to our list and benefit from each other's knowledge AND to have it all at one spot?" So here it is our attempt to do just that...
We have categorized the blog into three main lists: free, cheap, or just plain fun. These activities can be enjoyed almost any time throughout the year. Each activity is either linked to a brief writeup describing our personal experiences or directly to the website which provides more information. In addition there is a tab that lists upcoming activities called "special events" that are more time specific, such as fairs, carnivals, etc.
We hope that you will also find this blog useful, and ask that you help it grow by adding your comments on the activities, suggesting additional activities or events, and even spending a few minutes to create a post about your own experiences. If you would like to create a post, please type it up and email it to either of us, attaching any pictures you would like to include. We will add it to the blog as quickly as we are able. If you like what you see here, don't forget to add it to a reader to receive updated posts as they are written! We wish you some extra fun filled family days!
***To add to your reader: If you have a google email account, there should be a link at the top left that says "reader". Click on it, then click on "Add a subscription". Type in (or copy and paste) the blog website address.
